"Welcome to Paris!

Paris 26 Gigapixels is a stitching of 2346 single photos showing a very high-resolution panoramic view of the French capital (354159x75570 px). Dive into the image and visit Paris like never before!"

Fotos tiradas com a 5DMKII.

http://www.paris-26-gigapixels.com/index-en.html

Paris 26 Gigapixels was shot with very unique hardware: 2 Canon 5D Mark II (21.1 MP) each with a 300 mm f4.0 with a tele converter in order to get a  600mm /f8.0 needed to beat the record, mounted on a custom-made panoramic head.

The images were then stitched with the program Autopano Giga.

Mais uma vez a 5DMKII a ser a escolha dos cinematógrafos... IRON MEN 2

Citar
Canon 5D Mark IIs Destroyed to Make Iron Man 2

We've heard a lot about DLSRs being used in television and film production, but the ones used in Iron Man 2 went above and beyond the line of duty.

While most scenes in the movie were handled by traditional cameras, the crew used Canon 5D Mark IIs to get footage for the big race in Monaco.  "We mounted the Canon cameras on all four sides of the vehicle to get background plates for Tony Stark driving on the race track, " explains cinematographer Matthew Libatique.

"There is no other camera that can really get into some of the tight spots that the Canon 5D Mark II can, and with the ease that it can," says Libatique.  That applies especially to the crash sequences.

For the big crash in which Tony Stark's car goes flying into the air, a 5D was mounted to the front of the car.  "It's probably the most impressive shot in that sequence," says Libatique, "and it was captured by a 5D Mark II camera.

Greetings, I thought I'd to share my newest HD film, shot with the Nikon 24mm f/1.4G mounted on a Canon 5D2.
Tokyo Timelapse HD, "Echoes"

As we visited Tokyo during the New Year, you'll see some cool shots of the annual opening ceremonies of sumo and archery. We also filmed nearby Mount Fuji and the Nikko world-heritage shrines.
This is my second film after Kyoto HD. For the flying shots, I'm using the glidecam HD-2000 with 5D2 and Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G. About half of the shots were on the Sony A65 with Zeiss 24mm f/2 and Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 lenses.
I wanted to showcase the fast-pace of Tokyo, so timelapse sequences were a key element. In low-light, I'm finding the 5D2's ISO performance worse than the Nikon D700 (which I normally use) by about a stop but the advantage is the 21 megapixels of the 5D2 that allows panning in post. We put this effect to nice use in the opening time lapses. The Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G was in manual mode, so that actually helped reduce aperture flicker.
To capture timelapses during sunset, I shot in RAW and processed the sequences 2 or 3 times under bracketed exposures. The results were then cross-faded in post. Accordingly, I'd begin the time lapses a little overexposed to pre-account for changing light.
The Sony A65 also proved surprisingly capable for impromptu timelapses. Unlike the 5d2 which has a minimum shutter speed of 1/30s, the A65 can do 1/4s. We filmed muito. Fuji's swirling clouds for about 10 minutes and then sped it faster.

Filme vencedor do "Sundance Film Festival 2011".

Isto é um filme que quase de certeza não vamos poder ver cá em Portugal...va lá que temos a Internet.

From his embed with US Marines Echo Company in Afghanistan, photojournalist and filmmaker Danfung Dennis reveals the devastating impact a Taliban machine-gun bullet has on the life of 25-year-old Sergeant Nathan Harris. The film seamlessly transitions from stunning war reportage to an intimate, visceral portrait of one man's personal struggle at home in North Carolina, where Harris confronts the physical and emotional difficulties of re-adjusting to civilian life with the love and support of his wife, Ashley. Masterfully contrasting the intensity of the frontline with the unsettling normalcy of home, HELL AND BACK AGAIN lays bare the true cost of war.

"Danfung Dennis
Emerging DSLR wielding talents are slowly but surely gaining in fame and stature, Danfung Dennis shot Hell and Back Again – an Afghan war documentary which has cinematic quality – on the 5D Mark II pre-24p firmware update back in 2009 and lived to tell the tale. The result is a Sundance winning Cannes exhibited masterpiece, and probably one of the most intimate cinematic portrayals of war ever made. When talent like this get their hands on a 5D Mark III, expect even more mind blowing images..."

Filmado totalmente com a 5DMKII... Wink
